Fine Arts program 2012

The Woodland Park Campus has continued to deliver a highly effective advocacy initiative through our fine arts program. Through our partnership with the University of Florida Fine Arts Department, Boys & Girls Club members are participating in a 12 week multifaceted art program with a focus on societal issues and self-expression.
Members are also trained to teach other students basic principles learned throughout the program in an effort to spread knowledge and share their newfound art skills. Each month, local churches/organizations bring youth groups to attend art classes at the Boys & Girls Club in order give members an opportunity to reinforce what they have learned throughout the art program as well as empower kids to spread awareness of societal issues from their unique point of view.
