Despite record breaking Gainesville temperatures this summer, the Eastwood Meadows Campus of the Boys & Girls Club of Alachua County has blended simulated video games to promote healthier lifestyles. By utilizing new technology provided by Microsoft, the Eastwood Meadows Campus uses the Xbox 360 Kinect to provide fitness while giving kids a whole new way to get active as they dance, dodge, leap and have fun using the whole body and voice to play during peak heat index hours.
