The Doug Johnson & Donnie Young -Reeling For Kids - Celebrity Fishing Tournament

The Doug Johnson & Donnie Young Reeling for Kids Celebrity Fishing Tournament presented by WW Gay Mechanical Contractors was held in Steinhatchee, Florida on Friday & Saturday, May 15 & 16, 2009, with proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Alachua County. Several former Gator football players and current NFL players were in attendance. This two day event concluded with a barbecue, live and silent auction and weigh-in ceremony. Despite the economy, this was a record year in many ways. First, we had a record number of boats at 86 (up 10 from last year). We had several record fish in several categories, including an 84 pound cobia! Our new location at Gulf Stream Motel and Marina worked out great and they were a wonderful host. Special thanks to Doug and Donnie for making the event a huge success.
