Gainesville Cycling Festival
Friday, August 28, 2009
Join us on October 24, 2009 for the Nationwide Santa fe Century and the Millhopper Ramble. This is the Gainesville community's chance to get out and support the Boys & Girls Club and to make use of the best bicycling facilities this side of the Mississippi River. Enjoy an 18 or 27 mile family ride out and back on scenic Millhopper Road. Ride under the canopy of trees and on through the San Felasco State Preserve. Relax at the rest stop at the turnaround point, and possibly go into the Devils Millhopper Geological Site and descend into a mamouth sink hole (park entrance fee applies).

The ride starts and finishes at the North West Boys & Girls Club Club, 2700 NW 51st Street. Ample parking is available in the field behind the club. Come early to get your registration packet and to gawk at all the fancy bicycles that will be taking riders over the full hundred miles of the Santa Fe Century! (And be amazed at some of the ordinary bicycles that will do exactly the same thing).
