Urban Meyer Football Camp for Boys & Girls Club

On Thursday June, 18, 2009, Urban Meyer and the Florida Gators football coaching staff held the annual Boys & Girls Club Urban Meyer football camp. The camp began at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium where we were taken on a tour through the tunnels to the weight room and then proceeded to the video room to watch a highlight film of the 2008 football season. Upon departure from the video room, everyone was led to the practice fields to take part in a few different practice drills. Coach Meyer as well as a number of other coaches spoke to all of the attendees about how important school is to their future and how their actions reflect upon their character.
All of the children in attendance enjoyed the camp immensely and most of them will be participating next year as well. There were a record number of children in attendance and we would like to thank the parents who were able to make sure their children were able to attend and participate in all of the activities. Also, we would like to give thanks to Pratt and Associates in addition to Foley and Company for sponsoring the event to help provide shirts for every person who attended the event.
